My name is David and I have been attending an Israeli dance class since 1990.

WHY DID I ORIGINALLY SET UP THIS SITE?

• As a repository for my vast collection of Jewish jokes. I've been collecting jokes since I was at school. No matter what the source, if I think they might amuse, I re-write them in my style, load them onto 'awordinyoureye.com'
• From time to time, dancers need to rest during their class to gossip, to have a (soft) drink, to read about forthcoming classes, etc.  Now, another reason for having a short break is to read Jewish jokes.

I select and print out some jokes from 'awordinyoureye.com' and bring them along to my dance class.  I've been putting up my Jewish jokes on the wall of our dance hall for over eleven years now. I also put them up on my work place's notice board.

Those who find the time to read them appreciate them - well not all the jokes as you can't please everyone all the time!  Nevertheless (as you will read on my website), laughter really is the best medicine and 'awordinyoureye.com' is dedicated to my selection of Jewish jokes.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Why don't you put Jewish jokes up on a wall of your dance/keep fit/educational class or put them up on your workplace notice board or prepare jokes for any similar use, whatever your environment. Please feel free to do so. Maybe you could email me to let me know what you're doing. But please remember that the jokes are copyright and I'd be grateful if you could indicate them as such.
