The following notes have been written by David Minkoff

For my crimes, all the books described below were written by me, with their content taken entirely from my awordinyoureye.com website. Let me explain the difference between these books.

'The Ultimate Book of Jewish Jokes' AND 'Oy! The Ultimate Book of Jewish Jokes'
(MY FIRST BOOK)

USA Book

All three above books are identical versions of my first book.

The UK book (cover 1) was first published in March 2005 for the UK / European markets.
In August 2006, the USA version was published for the USA / Canadian markets (in both hardback and paperback formats).
In 2008, the UK book was re-published with the only change being a new cover (UK Book (cover 2).

The only difference between the three books, apart from the Publisher, title and cover, is that the jokes in the USA Book have been ‘Americanised’ in terms of grammar, places, weights, currency, synagogues, etc.

Each of these three books contain the same 1,000 Jewish jokes. Each includes

jokes you can tell children;
a unique kosher-humour test for dating couples;
speeches for special occasions;
the best punchlines;
a glossary of Yiddish and Hebrew terms

I was most pleased with myself when I learned that the USA version ("Oy! The Ultimate Book of Jewish Jokes") was one of only five nominations for the 2007 Quill Book Award under the Humor category. (CLICK HERE)

(MY SECOND BOOK)

UK Book USA Book

Both of the above books are identical versions of my second book, an entirely new compilation of jokes.

The UK book was first published in September 2008 for the UK / European market.
In September 2009, the USA version was published for the USA / Canadian markets (initially in hardback format).

The only difference between the above two books, apart from the Publisher, title and cover, is that the jokes in the USA Book have been ‘Americanised’ in terms of grammar, places, weights, currency, synagogues, etc.

Both of these books contain the same 800 jokes, none of which are in 'my first book'. This second book includes: -

a detailed introduction
child friendly jokes
humour test for couples
the best punchlines in the book
a glossary of Yiddish and Hebrew words and terms
